How do you count cards?

2, 3, 4, 5, 6 = +1
7, 8, 9 = 0
10, J, Q, K, A = -1

Is the use of card counting legal?

According to the US jurisdictions of different states card counting is not considered illegal. This means that according to law you can use this method.
