The Number of Players at Las Vegas Casinos Has Decreased

Winter time has always been considered as the best time for tourists to visit Las Vegas, the heart of gambling. But compared to the previous years the number of players and tourists visiting Las Vegas has much decreased. The authorities of tourism and gambling business, who have been collecting the information since 1983, marked the 10.2% decline this October.  This difference is calculated regarding the last year data. This is a new biggest decline after the September, 11th. Then in 2001 the decline was stated at 14.1%.

Such decline in the quantity of visitors and in the popularity of Las Vegas gambling destinations can be explained by the fact that Americans do not will to spend much on gambling. The decline was gradual and started in January. In fact, this decline shows the tendency in the national economy.

Atlantic City underwent hardship together with Las Vegas casinos. But Atlantic City casinos used this data to fight against the smoking bans which could lead to the decrease in the number of gamblers at the local casinos. To tell the truth, such bans really influenced gambling business even more than any other factors.
