Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, a brand new casino was opened after two days of testings and welcomed first visitors at 9 a.m. on May 22nd.
The place built on the former site of the Bethlehem Steel plant contains approximately 3,000 state-of-the-art slots machines and lots of dining and entertainment places and also 3,400 parking spaces.
According to Robert DeSalvio, the casino will hold the official Grand Opening on June 9th, 2009, the day where lots of special events and shows will be held. Providing more than $1.6 million wagered on Wednesday only, giving $1.48 million as winnings and a total revenue of $119,980.
