Blackjack Switch Variation

Switching can help some hands greatly. Blackjack switch is another blackjack variation, which is popular with many gamblers. It attracts players with a special bonus action that would be considered cheating in the traditional blackjack game. In blackjack switch the player is dealt two cards and is allowed to switch cards between two hands.

Players are allowed to switch the second cards between two hands to make the strongest possible hand. Every player makes two bets for two hands. The dealer deals two cards per hand and the player can switch the second cards to make stronger hands.

Blackjack Switch Rules

The rules of Switch do not differ much from classic rules of how to play blackjack. There are things you need to learn about the game.

As in the classic game, the aim of the player is to have a hand closer to 21 than the dealer's without going over 21.

The cards in Blackjack Switch have the same values as in the classic version (all cards from 2-9 are valued according to the number; 10, Jack. Queen and King have the value of 10 and an Ace can be 1 or 11.)

When the dealer deals the cards, the player may either play the hands or switch the second cards and then play each hand. As a rule, the dealer is to Hit on Soft 17 and Stand on Hard 17. If the dealer has 22, this is considered a Push and the players get their bets back. If the player has Blackjack and the dealer has 22, the player wins. Blackjack pays even money at most online blackjack casino halls.

Rules for Splitting

  • You can split each hand only once.
  • After you split Aces you get only one card per hand.

Rules for Doubling Down

  • You are allowed to double on any two cards.
  • You can double after a split.

Additional Blackjack Switch rules

If the dealers face up card is an Ace, players can buy insurance. Plus the game allows players to make an extra bet of Super Match and win if the first two cards are a pair (pays 1 to 1), three of a kind (pays 5 to 1), two pairs (pays 8 to 1) or four of a kind (40 to 1).

Pay attention that the rules of blackjack game variations may differ from one casino to another. Therefore, we advise you to check the rules before you play.
